After becoming a partner within three years, he then took over ownership, leading the firm into its current chapter, merging traditional accounting with a fresh and modern approach. With a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Adelaide and CPA credentials, Kumar combines strategic financial expertise with a collaborative approach, working with a trusted network of professionals to provide comprehensive support to his clients. Under his leadership, VBA continues its 20-year legacy of client-centred, innovative accounting services.

MANAGER, TAX & BOOKKEEPING

With nine years of experience in the accounting industry, Thaanyea ensures the smooth operation of VBA Accountants’ bookkeeping, accounting, and admin divisions. As the Manager for tax and bookkeeping, she oversees workflow across teams, assigns tasks, and provides business and tax advisory services to clients. Known for her attention to detail and strategic approach, Thaanyea enjoys researching complex tax scenarios to help clients bridge the gap between finance and strategy. A Certified Accountant since 2019, she is diligent, calm, and committed to building strong professional relationships.

SENIOR BOOKKEEPER

With 30 years of experience in the bookkeeping industry, Ann-Marie is a trusted resource at VBA Accountants. As Senior Bookkeeper, she manages everything from BAS preparation to payroll obligations and is known for her strong attention to detail and dedication to client success.

Ann-Marie enjoys helping clients feel more confident and efficient with their bookkeeping, creating solutions that support a better work-life balance. Ann-Marie’s thorough approach and passion for building client relationships have made her a valued mentor and team player.

ACCOUNTANT

Felicity brings a fresh, motivated perspective to the VBA Accountants team, with four years of experience in financial and tax management. Known for her drive and eagerness to learn, Felicity takes pride in tackling complex accounting challenges and working closely with clients to ensure their needs are met. Originally from Queensland, Felicity has lived in five different states across Australia, which adds to her adaptable and considerate approach.

Karen has been the welcoming face of VBA Accountants for nearly three years, organising appointments and assisting clients with warmth and professionalism. With a background in administration at ETSA, AGL, and CCH, she brings extensive experience and a strong client-focused approach. Known for her calming presence, Karen helps clients feel at ease about their finances. A longtime Adelaide Hills resident, Karen enjoys working in a close-knit team that values community.
